Let me introduce myself! My name is Ariane Keona Ochoa (she/her/hers), and I am a multidisciplinary designer based in Southern California. I recently graduated with a B.S. in Informatics and specialization in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of California, Irvine. With experience in social media content creation, UX design and research, web and interface design, and brand development, I am seeking full-time opportunities as an entry-level designer. I hope to work in a space where I can grow my craft, collaborate with and learn from experienced designers, and contribute to human-centered work that makes a lasting impact.
✱ Right now, I spend my days busy with freelance projects, my graphic design internship at Saddleback Church, and coffee shop workdays.
WHY DO I CREATE?
I create to share pieces that are meaningful, human-centered, and long-lasting. For me, creating has always been an outlet to share my most authentic self. I love encountering other creative minds because I get to learn how creativity takes form in their own worlds and to remind myself that my work is singular and uniquely “Ariane”. But what I’ve learned from studying user-centered design is that my creations can serve others as well. My utmost desire as a creative is to design with and for a purpose, and as I embark on my career, I am seeking out opportunities and spaces where I can create work that will make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
